Click Photo Albums under Modules in the administration menu.
The following page will show the list of Photo Albums.
Click Add a new Photo Album at the top of the page.
Enter a Name for the Photo Album.
Choose the Article the Photo Album will be attached to.
Optionally, choose whether the Photo Album will be attached to the article's content or the article's summary. Attach to Article's Content is chosed by default.
Choose a number of Columns. This is how many photos will be on each row.
Choose how many photos will appear on the page at a time. By default, 0 (zero) is chosen, which means that all the photos will appear on the same page regardless of the number. If a number other than 0 (zero) is chosen, the photos will span multiple pages.
Choose a layout for the Photo Album:
Images appear their actual size. Full size images are displayed and are not clickable.
Images appear as thumbnails. Thumbnails are displayed and when clicked, the full size image will display in a popup window.
Display thumbnails next to a full-size image placeholder - the thumbnails are clickable and show the full-size image next to the thumbnails. You have the option to make thumbnails appear above, below, to the left, or to the right of a full-size image.
Click the box next to Update full-size image when mouse pointer is rolled over a thumbnail to update the full-size image when your mouse rolls over a thumbnail. This feature works best if images are the same height and width.
Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Note: Pay close attention to the actual size of your photos when using Images appear their actual size and Images appear as thumbnails under a full-size display. If you use Images appear their actual size, the images on a single row should never be more than a total of 500 pixels wide, i.e. an album with 2 columns should have images no wider than about 250 pixels. If you use Images appear as thumbnails under a full-size display, no image at full-size should be wider than 550 pixels. Since about half of your site's visitors will have a monitor resolution set to 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high, images that are wider than suggested will force your visitors to scroll left and right to view the full image. This should be avoided. If you use Images appear as thumbnails, in general there are no specific size considerations - most web browsers will automatically resize the image to fix the pop-up window. To resize the full-size version of an image, edit that image and use the resize option. See Modify a Photo and Add a new Photo for details.
