Deleting an Event Category will also permanently delete every Event of that type. If you have an Event Category named "Meetings", and you have a number of "Meetings" events on your Calendar, deleting the "Meetings" Event Category will also delete all of the "Meetings" Events.
Events and Event Categories
Click Calendar in the administration menu. Next, click Event Categories.
On the following page, you will see the list of Event Categories.
Next to the Event Category you wish to delete, check the box in the Delete column. You may check multiple Event Types.
Click the Delete button at the top or bottom of the list of Event Categories.
Next to the Event Category you wish to delete, check the box in the Delete column. You may check multiple Event Types.
Click the Delete button at the top or bottom of the list of Event Categories.
A confirmation page will appear. You will see a warning that reminds you that the Event Type and its events will be permanently deleted. At this point you may uncheck any Event Types that you do not wish to delete.
Check the Delete button at the top or bottom of the list of Event Category to permanently delete all the checked Event Categories.
A confirmation page will appear with a link back to the Calendar list.
