An Exit Page can warn site visitors when they are about to leave your website. If there is an external link somewhere in your site and a user attempts to leave your site via this external link, an Exit Page will let them know they are about to do so willingly.
To enable your Exit Page, check the box in the Settings row labeled Enable Exit Page.
You can also add a new background color to the Exit Page to differentiate from your articles and Exit Page. Click on "Refresh Content" to view the content with the specified background color you've selected.
Lastly, enter a message for the Exit Page. You may enter anything you please, but most Exit Pages have a disclaimer that warns the user that they are leaving your site.
Here is an example:
You are attempting to visit a page that is not a YourCompany website. YourCompany is not responsible for links to external sites. You may activate any such links at your own risk. Note that certain links can contain malicious software that can jeopardize your computer security. Be especially cautious of links ending with ".jpg", ".html", and ".scr" as in many cases, harmful software is being hidden at locations that end with these extensions.
Also, please make sure that you have the most secure operating system updates on your computer by running Windows Update (for Windows users) or Software Update (for Mac users).
Click save when finished.
Note: On the Exit page, the warning text will be followed by a link that says "Continue". This link will forward the user to the external link once they have clicked "Continue".
