Deleting a Location Type will not delete all Locations under that type. However, when you edit a Location that has no Location Type, you must create a new Location Type and then edit the Location. To delete a Location Type:
Click Locations in the Administration menu. Next, click on Location Types.
The following page will display the list of Location Types
Check the box in the delete column next to each Location Type you wish to delete and click the Delete button at the top or bottom of this list.
A confirmation page will appear reminding you that the items will be permenently deleted. At this time, you may uncheck any items you do not wish to keep.
Click the Delete button at the top or bottom of the list. A confirmation page will appear with a link back to the list of existing Location Types.
