Subsciber Groups

 

Subscriber Groups are a great way to organize your mailing list subscribers.


To add a new Subscriber Group, click Mailing list in the Administration Menu.

Next, click on Subscriber Groups.

To add a new Subscriber Group, click on Add a new Subscriber Group at the top of the page. Enter the Group ID (may only contain letters, numbers, and underscores).



Next, enter the Subscriber Group's name (mainly used to more easily differentiate the subscriber groups). Enter a description for your group.

Note: The description specifies what is displayed on the user forms and mailing list forms for this group. It could be a question such as "Receive periodic newsletters from this site?" or it could be a statement such as "I want to receive periodic newsletters from this site."

You have the option to either include this group on mailing list subscription form or, if left unchecked, the user must manually check to subscribe to the Mailing List Subscription Form. This option also applies to Registration and Settings forms, which is the next choice.

To edit your Subscriber Groups, click Mailing list in the Administration Menu. Next, edit next to the Subscriber Group you want to edit. Editing is much like adding a new Subscriber Group. Please see the information above.

To delete a Subscriber Group, click Mailing list in the Administration Menu. Next, check the box in the Delete column next to the Subscriber Group you want to delete. Next, click the Delete button at the top or bottom of the current Subscriber Groups. A confirmation page will come up and if you have the correct Subscriber Groups marked for deletion, click on Delete. Another confirmation page will come up with a link back the your Subscriber Groups.
