Creating Anchors |
|
A link can point to any resource on the Web: an image, a sound file, a movie, a web page — even a certain part of a web page.
Using named anchors you can create links that can jump directly to a specific section of a page, instead of letting the user scroll around to find what she is looking for.
Add an Anchor

- To add an anchor to your page, click next to the word or image you would like to link to.
- Next, click the icon that looks like an anchor in the Graphical Editor toolbar.
- Name your anchor to be able to find it easily when you link your text to it.
- A yellow box will appear where the anchor is located in your content.
Link to an Anchor

- Highlight the text that is going to link to the anchor.
- Click on the Insert/Modify Link button in the toolbar.
- The fourth option down is the or Anchor box. Drop the menu down and select the anchor you created. It's name will look like "#test" or "#anchor". Select the appropriate choice and click OK. Your highlighted text will now link to the anchor. Click save when you're done.
