Site Security

YourWebPress.com offers 99 levels of security.

Site Access

Choose the lowest level group that will have access to the website.  If someone attempts to access a page on the site and they are not logged in, they will be prompted to log in.  If they are logged in as a lower level user, they will be notified that they do not have access.  If you do not need users to log in to access the website, leave this setting set to (..) Everybody.
Note
Site Access is always consulted when making a request on this site. If the Site Access is more restrictive than the access security of the item being checked, it will override that item's security. Site Access can ensure that no user in a group that is less secure than the one chosen below can access anything on this site.

Site Ownership

Choose the lowel level group that will be able to adminster and modify the site from online administration.  Only level (98) groups and the (99) Administrators group apply to this setting.  This setting can be overridden by setting ownership on specifc articles.  For example, if the Ownership is set to (99) Administrators, and you have an article set to have an ownership of (98) Sub-Administrators, then the (98) Sub-Administrators will be able to log in and only be able to edit that specific aritcle.  All other articles would only be editible by the (99) Administrators.
Note
Site Owner is only consulted if an item does not have a specified owner. It acts as a default owner so that items can automatically be secured to be managed only by certain administrators without having to explicitly set the owner on each and every item.
