Add a new User Group

 

New Users on your site will need to be a member of a User Group, and you may want to use different Groups from the ones that are built in to the site. Before you add new Users to your site, you may first want to add a new User Group. To add a new User Group:

  • Click User Groups under Accounts in the administration menu.

The following page will show the list of existing groups

  • Click Add a new User Group at the top of the page.
  • On the following page, enter a Name for the Group
  • Choose a Level for the Group
    • If the Group is level 98, members of that group will be able to access online administration.
  • If your new group is not level 98, scroll to the bottom and lick the Save button at the bottom of the page.
If your new group is level 98, there are a number of settings you can assign to this group.  This group will have administrative access to the site.  Here is where you can determine what types of administrative access the group will have:
 
Note: "-" denotes a checkbox for that option. "--" denotes the privileges that are encompassed in that option.

Privileges: Articles
  -Complete Management
    --Add, Edit, Delete, Move, and Sort Articles
  -Only Edit Articles
  -Only Edit the Content of Articles
 
Calendar
  -Complete Management
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Events
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Event Categories
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Calendar Headings
    --Edit Settings
  -Only Manage Events
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Events
 
Contacts
  -Complete Management
 
e-Commerce
  -Complete Management
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Items
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Item Categories
    --Add, Edit, and Delete Item Manufacturers
